About Distilled Nuance

Hello! I’m Distilled Nuance (or just Nuance if you see me in the wild and want to say hi)

I’m an independent game designer focused on small, authored worlds with a strong sense of place. I draw on my rather ridiculous mix of professions and life experiences both narratively and technically to make games that reward curiosity and observation.

My current focus is Depth of Field, an expanded evolution of a game-jam project I made a few years ago. The new version turns the original basic photography scavenger hunt idea into a much larger wilderness restoration adventure, with exploration, resource planning, camera progression, wildlife, a customizable cabin, and of course more interesting photograph riddles sent to you by your mysterious benefactor.
